Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and SAID2020 LLC for using TaleMontage at talemontage.com and app.talemontage.com. By using TaleMontage you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Who we are

TaleMontage is a product of SAID2020 LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Ohio, 919 Lorien Drive, Ambler, PA 19002. "We" and "us" mean SAID2020 LLC.

What TaleMontage does

You give us photos and videos from an album, and TaleMontage makes a film from them: it chooses the strongest moments, puts them in order, and adds captions, music, and maps. You review the photos it chose and decide what stays. You can also make a photo dump, or take your best photos on their own.

Your photos and videos

• They stay yours. You keep every right you have in your photos and videos, and in the film made from them.
• What you allow us to do. You allow us to store, copy, and process them only as far as needed to make your film, show it to you, and let you download it. We don't use them for anything else. Our Privacy Policy says how we handle them and when we delete them.
• What you confirm. You have the right to use the photos and videos you give us, including for the people who appear in them. They don't break the law, and they don't infringe anyone else's rights.
• Your own music. If you add your own soundtrack, you confirm you have the right to use it in your film.

Free during the private beta

While TaleMontage is in private beta, you can create a film, watch all of it in your browser and download it without paying. The film carries a small TaleMontage mark. There is no obligation to buy. We may limit how many free films one person can make, and we may refuse or stop a film that misuses the service.

Buying your TaleMontage, when paid access opens

Nothing is sold during the private beta. This section describes the planned purchase and applies to a purchase once one is offered.

• The planned price is $12.99 for one album. Where tax applies, it is included in that price.
• What you get right away: the full-quality version of your film, without the mark, to download and share.
• What else is included, made when you ask for it: the other formats of the same album (film, photo dump, best photos), the other orientation, and up to 3 changes to the photos or the music. A change that fails on our side doesn't count.
• How long it is available. Your film and your photos and videos are kept for 7 days after you buy, so download what you want to keep. You can choose to have them kept for 30 days instead. After that they are deleted, and we can't make changes or new versions. We don't offer permanent storage.

Refunds

Our Refund Policy is part of these terms: a refund may be requested within 14 calendar days of the purchase. A refund ends access to that film, and its files are deleted from our servers.

Music in your film

The music TaleMontage provides is in the public domain or released under CC0, so your film owes nobody a royalty and nobody a credit; where a track's own licence asks to be named, your film names it at the end. You may share your film, including on video sites. We can't promise that a particular site will never flag a track.

Using TaleMontage fairly

Please don't use TaleMontage to break the law, to process photos or videos you have no right to use, to get around the limits on free films, to interfere with the service or other people's use of it, or to copy or resell the service itself.

What we can't promise

TaleMontage chooses and arranges your photos automatically, so a film may leave out a moment you care about or include one you'd rather not; the review step and the changes are there for that. We work to keep the service available and your film correct, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of faults. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Our responsibility to you

If we fail to give you what you bought, write to us and we will put it right or refund you. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for the loss of photos and videos: your originals stay with you and with your album, and you should keep them. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the film it concerns.

Ending your use

You can stop using TaleMontage at any time, and delete your photos, videos, and film from your film's page. We may suspend or end access for someone who breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. The terms in place when you buy apply to that purchase.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. This doesn't take away any protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.
